Shayla Day has set her sights on becoming a driving force in the entertainment world. Her songs and written works exemplify her undeniable talents. Born in New Madrid, Missouri, the twenty-seven-year-old became intrigued by the entertainment business at the age of ten. She begain writing poems, stories, and songs, and by the age of fifteen she completed her first book, The Stepmother.
As she got older, she began to seriously focus all of her strengths on pursuing both writing and music professionally. Shayla writes and records hip hop music and is set on maintaining her individuality, focusing on her lyrical content, and making quality music with which she hopes to make an impact on fans.
Shayla is a published author, releasing a book of poetry, Expressions, in 2004 through her own publishing company, Do You Publishing. Her first work of fiction, Searching for Utopia, also released through Do You Publishing is on sale now and has received critical acclaim all over the country. It is the story of a talented young woman who strives to overcome a difficult life in pursuit of happiness. Her current book The Lawyer's Daugther is a suspense story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
With the eventual release of her album, many novels, screenplays, and a television show, Shayla will undoubtedly cause a stir in the entertainment industry as well as demonstrate her lasting ability with her numerous talents and desire to be a positive role model.
